The STA Award in Teaching Swimming is the perfect first step into beginning an exciting career as a swimming teacher.  With no experience needed this is the perfect way to get you started on that journey!

As a swimming teacher, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating up to 12 swimmers from non-swimmers up to improvers (children and adults). This award will develop the vocational and technical skills you require as a swimming teacher, allowing you to independently teach your very own class, providing you with the knowledge, skills and techniques needed to provide swimming lessons.

You will be qualified to deliver up to the Goldfish stage of the STA’s international learn to swim programme and be able to gain employment as a swimming teacher, teaching non-swimmers to improvers.  As an internationally recognised qualification you will be able to take your swimming teaching career around the world!
