Beyond the Water (“we”, “us”) provides regulated qualifications & training, event safety support and consultancy.

    Depending on the service, we may collect:

    • Name and contact details (email/phone)

    • Date of birth (where required for qualifications/training/certification)

    • Home address (where required for registration, certification, invoicing or records)

    • Emergency contact details (name, relationship, phone number)

    • Booking and attendance information (course/date/location)

    • Payment administration details for bank transfer bookings (payer name, payment reference, date paid)

    • Relevant health/medical information needed for safe participation and emergency planning

    • Website technical data required for security and basic site functionality (e.g., IP address, browser/device information)

  • We use your data to:

    • Respond to enquiries and provide services (contract / legitimate interests)

    • Manage bookings, attendance and payment admin (contract)

    • Plan and deliver courses safely (contract / legitimate interests)

    • Keep records for legal/accounting purposes where required (legal obligation)

  • Where a course requires it, we ask for only information relevant to safe participation and emergency response.
    We process this information with your explicit consent for: suitability, safety planning and emergency response.
    Access is restricted to those involved in course delivery and safety management.
    If you withdraw consent, we may be unable to provide a place on the course.

  • We may share information with service providers that help us run the business, including:

    • Wix (website hosting, integrated forms/booking tools)

    • Professional advisers (e.g., accountant)
      We do not sell personal data.

  • We keep personal data only as long as necessary. Health/medical information is retained for the minimum period needed for course delivery and any immediate follow-up. Booking and accounting records may be kept longer to meet legal requirements.

  • You have rights to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
