  • How much do swimming lessons cost?
    Group Lessons from: £8 - £15 Children's 30 minute Private Lessons from: £25 Adult 60 minute Private Lessons from: £50
  • How do I pay for swimming lessons?
    Swimming lessons are currently invoiced per term with payment made via either bank transfer or using the payment link sent to you via email. All lessons must be paid in advanced of the first lesson of the term and payment received by the payment due date. Cancellations made once the term has commenced will not be refunded.
  • What qualifications do the swimming teachers have?
    As a minimum all of our teachers are Level 2 qualified with either Scottish Swimming or Swim England or Level 2 Certified with the STA. Each swimming teacher holds a relevant rescue award, a child protection CPD (updated every 3 years) and are DBS / PVG checked regularly. For our open water sessions all coaches have the relevant open water coaching and safety awards.
  • Are the swimming teachers in the water?
    Teachers will teach from the most appropriate place at the pool. This may be in the water or on poolside. For lessons with nervous swimmers our teachers are usually in the water.
  • What ages do you teach?
    We teach children from the age 4 upwards through to adult swimmers.
  • How many swimmers are in each class?
    Our swimming lessons are capped to a maximum of 6 swimmers per lesson.
  • How long do lessons last for?
    Our children's lessons are all 30 minutes. Our adult lessons are all 60 minutes.
  • Can I watch my child's swimming lesson?
    Yes, there is ample spectator areas for you to watch your child during their swimming lesson.
  • How much do the courses cost?

  • What requirements do I need to take a course?
    The requirements you will need will depend on which course you are looking to attend. Please see the specific course page for more details.
  • How do I pay for my course?
    Payment for courses are made via bank transfer. A digital invoice will be sent out to you upon receipt of all pre course requirements. The digital invoice will contain a link to the PDF which contains all bank transfer payment details.
  • I can't see a price for the RLSS NWSMP Course - How much is it?
    The RLSS NWSMP course is a modular course and therefore pricing depends on which modules you select to complete. Typically, if you select all of the modules the course is approximately £270.
  • What is the difference between the swimming teaching and the open water coaching course?
    Swimming teachers work predominately with non swimmers or those who are not yet fully confident or competent in the water and typically within swimming pools. Swimming teachers have an understanding of the fundamentals of swimming and have basic knowledge of common faults and correction. Open water swimming coaches work with swimmers in open water environments. Open water coaches guide swimmers to develop and grow their swimming technique and skills. Open water coaches have knowledge of speed swimming techniques and development of effective training sets.
  • What is the difference between the STA Open Water Safety course and the RLSS National Water Safety Management Programme?
    The STA open water safety course is a regulated qualification and awarded by Safety Training Awards. The open water safety course equips holders with the relevant knowledge and skills to provide safety cover for scheduled open water sessions. The course allows the holder to provide safety cover for still water, rivers and coastal environments. The RLSS NWSMP course is endorsed by the Health and Safety Executive and equips holders with the relevant knowledge and skills to supervise and manage activities in, on or around water. The qualification covers a variety of environments and is delivered in modules.
