STA Level 2 Award in Safety Award for Teachers
If you’re a swimming teacher, aqua aerobic instructor or school teacher and looking for a qualification that will allow you to provide safety cover for swimming sessions, this is the qualification for you!
The safety Award for Teachers is a great course for swimming teachers. On the course, you’ll learn basic rescue, first aid and resuscitation skills. Holding a rescue/safety award such as this is also recommended for our swimming teaching qualifications, so this may be included with your swimming teaching course (ask your course organiser for more details).
This course will last for 2 years!

More Information:
In Person Learning: You will complete one full day in person in Aviemore or a venue of your choosing for bespoke courses. As part of the course you will participate in a mixture of theory based learning and practical in water rescue and first aid techniques.
Assessment: The course is tutor assessed throughout. To pass the course you are required participate in discussions and activities, complete and undertake a short multiple choice question paper either via the Cirrus platform or in person on the day.
Courses typically start at 09:30am and finish at 5:30pm - this will be confirmed during booking. Your course tutor will ensure you have all the learning materials you need and provide support with getting set up with the digital multiple choice question paper platform.
After Your Course:
Upon completion of your Level 2 Safety Award for Teachers Course you will be equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about managing groups are swimming pool environments and delivering safer activities.
You will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform effective emergency response and carry out casualty care and management.
